Position Description:
The Dispensing Systems Technician position is accountable and responsible for assisting with the execution and coordination of all aspects of the company’s dispensing equipment systems.  This position reports directly to the Dispensing Systems Manager.

Responsibilities:
  • Coordinate and participate in the installation of ACM’s dispensing equipment systems at customer locations, utilizing assistance from ACM’s Technical Service Representatives and trainees.
  • Refurbish and rebuild ACM dispensing units to ensure optimal performance.
  • Actively participate in all troubleshooting activities related to ACM’s product dispensing equipment.
  • Maintain a safe, organized, and clean work environment for dispensing equipment inventory, maintenance, and troubleshooting areas.
  • Prepare and maintain accurate, timely reports of all activities, maintenance procedures, and system upgrades conducted for ACM and its customers.
  • Facilitate proper quality control (QC) and quality assurance (QA) techniques and operations when working on-site with plant personnel.
  • Establish and maintain strong, trusting, and mutually respectful relationships with ACM staff, customers, and vendor representatives.
  • Assist with Inline Treatment activities, including basic QC procedures, troubleshooting, demonstrations, and system commissioning.

Experience:
  • 4-year technical degree or equivalent AND/OR 5 or more-years of experience in electrical, mechanical and plumbing systems used in manufacturing and other machinery.
  • Hands-on experience in the design, installation, and maintenance of electrical, mechanical, and plumbing systems — including pneumatic valve actuation systems, electric and pneumatic pumps and motors, liquid flow detection and metering systems, and remote sensing of liquid storage tank levels.
  • Experience with PLC and HMI programming.
  • Demonstrated experience in writing and following standard operating procedures (SOPs) related to mechanical systems installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting.
Requirements:
  • Demonstrated strong problem-solving skills under pressure.
  • Strong electrical and mechanical aptitude.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills (both written and verbal).
  • Proven conflict management skills and the ability to handle difficult or hostile internal and external situations professionally.
  • Comfortable using Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Word.
  • Ability to work independently as a one-person team for extended periods of time.
  • Willingness and ability to travel up to 60% of the time.
  • Ability to stand or walk for extended periods of time.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds unassisted.
  • Ability to climb multiple flights of stairs.
  • Flexibility to work weekends, when required.
